Enterprise Service Management Platform DWP-1120 Remove Legacy components: Windows Service Hostcommon x86 Improvement

The Windows Service “HostCommon x86” is installed on Application Server, and designed to execute tasks which require x86 windows components, like DTS or ODBC connectors. After the discontinuation of Empirum Connector support, there are no more tasks in product for DTS.

Remove or rework the following business components:

DTS Connector Framework

The first version of the Connector Framework was later fully replaced with Data Provider Connector Framework. For a long time stayed in Product due to “Empirum Connector” integration fully based on it.

Rework Generic Import
Some GDI sources like CVS or Excel requires deprecated components running on x86 process. Replace the legacy components with a new version running in HostCommon process

Enterprise Service Management M42ESM-191 OLA Handling on Activities New

SLA handling on Matrix42 activities is common practice. When dealing with external parties or even different departments within the same company OLAs come into play.

OLAs must serve the SLA regarding reaction and escalation times without breaching them. Identification of times and agreements (SLA/OLA) should be easy for Service Desk agents like in a preview showing the actual reaction/solution times.

E-mail should be sent as on current SLAs.

Forwarding of multiple activities should be possible and will assign the same OLA to ALL activities.

Activities covered by the feature are:

  • Ticket

  • Incident

  • Service Request

  • Task

As help for the service desk agent, time checks on OLA selection might be implemented to provide a warning that OLA times do not meet SLA times.
OLA reporting is optional as well based on the current report 'Service Level Fulfillment'

Tracking of OLA should be possible in a way:

  • the ticket was forwarded to role X with OLA Y

  • for each forwarding action
